Spring Flowers

This 20-foot lilac tree must be 100 years old.  It came into bloom just in time for Mother's Day this year.  The scent comes in the kitchen window, and the tree reaches high enough that it comes in the bathroom window too.
We don't bother cutting the grass until the forget-me-nots and violets have finished blooming.  They do a good job of keeping out the dandelions.
A bleeding heart in bloom, False Solomon's Seal, and purple irises that will bloom later in the season.
